Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any other AI assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol, and it can write and edit your content, read your Search Console and Analytics data, test your speed with PageSpeed Insights and work with Cloudflare — only within the permissions you approve. Google Ads from the chat (Premium)

Ask for “a Search campaign for website redesign in Zürich, 20 CHF per day” and your AI sets up the whole campaign in one step: daily budget, bidding strategy, locations and languages, ad groups with keywords, responsive search ads with headlines and descriptions, negative keywords, sitelinks, callouts, structured snippets and call extensions. Later it can rewrite headlines and descriptions, change bids and keyword match types, pause or remove ads and keywords, and add or remove extensions.

  • Always paused: new campaigns cost nothing until you switch them on — or allow the AI to do it with a separate permission.
  • Simulation mode: Google checks every change without applying it, until you turn simulation off.
  • Budget cap: the AI can never set a daily budget above the maximum you define.
  • Checked before sending: Google’s limits (30-character headlines, 90-character descriptions, keyword and sitelink lengths) are verified first, and policy messages are explained in plain words.
  • Separate permissions and a full log for creating, editing and keyword changes — all off until you enable them.

Install and update plugins and themes from the chat (Premium)

Ask your AI to install, update or roll back a plugin or theme — including your own custom ones that are not on WordPress.org:

  • From GitHub: “Install my theme from GitHub acme/client-theme, version 1.2, and activate it.” Public and private repositories (connect GitHub once with a short code, or add a read-only token). Mark a package as tracked and every new GitHub release shows up as a normal update in your WordPress dashboard.
  • From a link: “Install the plugin from this download link.”
  • From a file the AI made: Claude Code uploads the ZIP it just built directly to your site; in the chat app, small packages (up to 2 MB) are sent piece by piece.

Safe by design: a separate permission you must switch on, a backup before every update, and an automatic health check — if the site shows an error after the update, the previous version is restored on its own. Protected plugins can never be replaced, and every step is logged.

  • On your computer: Claude.ai in the browser, Claude Desktop or Claude Code — Claude Code can also build a theme or plugin, publish it to GitHub and install it in one go.

The plugin automatically follows the language of your WordPress — the site language in Settings → General, or each user’s own profile language. For any other language it shows English. The descriptions the AI reads stay in English, so every assistant understands them precisely.

Frequently asked questions

What is Easy Connect MCP?

A WordPress plugin that lets AI assistants such as Claude work with your site, your Google accounts and Cloudflare through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — only within the permissions you grant.

Is the AI allowed to change everything?

No. Every permission is off until you enable it, each one is explained with its risks, and you can switch off single functions. Critical settings, protected plugins and protected DNS records cannot be changed, and every action is logged.

What do I need for Google Ads?

A Google account with access to the Ads account and a Premium license. Changes can run in simulation mode first, and budget changes are limited by the caps you set.

How do I connect Cloudflare?

Click “Create the API token in Cloudflare” in the plugin: Cloudflare opens with the permissions pre-filled, you choose the zone and paste the token back. Reading and cache purging are free; the other Cloudflare actions need Premium.

How do updates work?

The free plugin updates like any other WordPress plugin. The Premium add-on updates from your dashboard with one click while your licence is active. Every licence includes 12 months of updates and 6 months of support; you can extend support to 12 months when you buy.

Can I move my license to another site?

Yes. Deactivate it in Easy Connect MCP → License on the old site, then activate it on the new one. Your keys are always available in My Account → Licenses.

What is the difference between the free plugin and Premium?

The free plugin is complete on its own: content, media, menus, SEO fields, PageSpeed Insights, Search Console and Analytics (read), Cloudflare statistics and cache purging. The Premium add-on — the licence you buy here — adds Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, sitemap submission, Cloudflare changes and plugin and theme management.

Can the AI test my site speed?

Yes. Ask for example “How fast is my homepage on mobile?” — the AI runs Google PageSpeed Insights and gets the scores, Core Web Vitals, real-user data and the most important fixes. It works without setup; a free Google API key (added in the plugin) gives you a reliable daily quota.

What languages is it available in?

English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Romanian. The plugin automatically follows your WordPress language — the site language or each user’s profile language; any other language falls back to English.

Can the AI install my own plugins and themes?

Yes, with Premium. Ask it to install or update a plugin or theme from GitHub (public or private repositories), from a download link, or from a file it built itself. Before every update a backup is made, and if the site shows an error afterwards the previous version is restored automatically. The permission is off until you switch it on.

Does it work from my phone?

Yes. The connector you add once on claude.ai is also available in the Claude app for iPhone and Android, so you can test your speed, write content or update a theme from anywhere.

Can the AI create Google Ads campaigns?

Yes, with Premium: complete Search campaigns with budget, bidding, locations, languages, ad groups, keywords, responsive search ads and extensions — and later it can edit headlines, descriptions, keywords and extensions. New campaigns are always created paused, and the AI can never set a daily budget above your cap.

Can the AI start spending money on its own?

No. Campaigns are always created paused. Switching one on needs a separate permission you grant yourself, and the AI is instructed to ask you first. With simulation mode on, nothing is changed in Google Ads at all.

Which Google Ads campaign types are supported?

Search campaigns with responsive search ads, keywords and the common extensions (sitelinks, callouts, structured snippets, call). The AI can read and report on all your campaigns; Performance Max, Display, Shopping, Video and App campaigns can be paused, enabled or re-budgeted, but not built.
